WATCH: One Of The Fastest KO’s In UFC History Just Happened

Articles

Dustin Ortiz just scored the fastest KO in UFC flyweight history. At the lighter weigthclasses, knockouts are less common, and usually happen after a prolonged beatdown, but Ortiz has some serious power and managed to put away his opponent, Hector Sandoval, in a matter of seconds.

Somebody referred to him as a mini Nate Marquardt, and it’s hard to argue after watching the upcoming clip of the fight. You know it’s a quick fight when it could have fit into a gif.

Ortiz has been on a bit of a hit-and-miss run lately, mind you against some very tough opponents, but he really needed this win and he put it away quickly without absorbing much damage so you have to imagine he’ll be campaigning for another fight very soon so keep the momentum rolling.

Hector is now 2-2 in the UFC after dropping his debut at UFC 201 to Reis and then earning victories over Fredy Serrano and Matt Schnell. It’s a tough loss, but he’ll bounce back.
