Well, there you have it folks.
The UFC’s bad guy, Jon Jones, has once again defeated Daniel Cormier and regained his belt. Cormier was doing very well in the early rounds, things really looked like they were going his way, until he ate a huge kick from Jones, and somehow managed to stay on his feet before ultimately being overwhelmed by Jones’ barrage, ending with DC on the mats and Jones crowned Champion.
Props to Jones, he had some classy things to say about Cormier, saying that he hopes he can be the type of man Cormier is, that he looks up to him in a lot of ways, and generally just being a good sport.
Cormier was very emotional and seemed still very out of it in his post fight interview, he didn’t remember the kick or how the fight ended, and Rogan pointed out that he really doesn’t like having to interview fighters in that situation but wanted to give Cormier a chance to speak.
Daniel Cormier said there’s no rivalry anymore because he’s lost to Jones twice.
