Some guys can pull off the flips and the spinnin’ shit, others would be better sticking to basics. Even a great fighter can slip up from time to time, but it’s important to keep your eyes on the prize and not try to get too cute.
The first two rounds went well, but when he went for that imanari roll, everything hit the fan.
There are BJJ masters who criticize this sort of stuff, I mean, it’s great when it works but… when it doesn’t, it looks like this:

Fans love the flashy stuff when it works, and sometimes it genuinely is the best move for the situation, but when you’re winning the fight, it’s probabally not the best time to get TOO loose. Chances are this guy is going to be kicking himself for this one, but if not – his opponent took care of that for the near future…
