It’s amazing that Mr. and Mrs. Machine had the foresight to give their son War such a fitting name.
War Machine has gotten himself into trouble once again. He allegedly attacked his former girlfriend, a lady named Christy Mack. Apparently she’s an actress of some sort, I’m definitely not familiar with her work… Anyways, War Machine isn’t the first athlete to be accused of putting his hands on a woman and then fleeing police officers’ attempts to apprehend him. More on that later. Here’s some background on the story, in their own words.
Warning: After these tweets showing what War Machine has to say for himself, there are some graphic images that were posted to Christy Mack’s twitter page showing the aftermath of her altercation with War Machine. If you’re sensitive to stuff like that, turn back now because she looks even worse than War Machine after most of his fights.
So there’s his side of the story. Now, let’s take a look at the type of condition that Christy Mack was left in after allegedly putting War Machine in a position to have to “fight for his life”. According to Mack, her and War Machine were already separated when this took place.
These photos really speak for themselves. War Machine is a “professional” MMA fighter who could absolutely subdue just about any attacker without having to do this kind of damage, especially when we’re talking about a 105lb lady who isn’t a trained martial artist. He’s known for being a hot-head, with 2 assault charges under his belt already. But what Christy said in her statement is horrific enough that it’ll still surprise you, even when you already know what War Machine is capable of.
“I believed I was going to die. He has beaten me many times before, but never this badly. He took my phone and cancelled all of my plans for the following week to make sure no one would worry about my whereabouts. He told me he was going to rape me, but was disappointed in himself when he could not get hard.
… He left me on the floor bleeding and shaking, holding my side from the pain of my rib. He left the room and went to the kitchen where I could hear him ruffling through my drawers. Assuming he was finding a sharper, more stable knife to end my life, I ran out of my back door, shutting it behind me so the dogs didn’t run inside to tip him off. I hopped the fence to the golf course behind my house and ran to a neighbouring house. Naked and afraid he would catch me, I kept running through the neighbourhood knocking on doors. Finally, one answered and I was brought to the hospital and treated for my injuries.”
Miss Mack concluded her statement with the following:
“After many months of fear and pressure to keep this man happy, although I fear for my life, I feel that I can no longer put myself in this situation. The cheating by him nearly every day, and almost weekly abuse is now more than I can stand.”
OJ Simpson Comes To Mind…
The OJ Simpson chase immediately comes to mind knowing that War Machine is out there somewhere, hiding from the law. OJ was found innocent on charges of killing his wife, and War Machine hasn’t had a trial yet nor did he murder Christy Mack, although based on her account of the events it certainly sounded like that could have been a possibility if she hadn’t have had the courage to escape.
If events transpired at all like Christy described in her statement, and if War Machine’s anger issues have once again caught up with him, not even Johnny Cochran could get him off.
This time around, it doesn’t really matter “if the glove fits” either, because War Machine obviously won’t be putting on MMA gloves in any major promotion ever again. Good riddance. And we wish a speedy recovery to Christy Mack.
