In this interview, Mike Perry either just woke up or he’s about to take a long nap. Morning grogginess, or a few doobies, you be the judges.
Speaking of naps, he put Jake Ellenberger to sleep this past weekend with a DEVASTATING elbow to the dome that immediately stiffened him and sent him to the canvas, maybe even the shadow realm.
Mike Perry has had a breakout year, and his most recent fight showed growth and evolution as a fighter as far as technical skill goes, but he still has his brawler sensibilities that got him to the dance in the first place. He’s still really young, this guy’s going to keep improving for years until he hits his prime, and that’s a scary thought for upcoming opponents. You might want to get this one over with asap, because the longer you wait, the tougher he’ll be to beat.
If you haven’t been following the rise of Mike Perry, he’s a pretty interesting dude. Initially, he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way with his brashness, but he backs it up in the cage and has becoming a living meme at this point. You can get away with a lot more when you’re putting people to bed. Just ask Conor, Brock, Ronda, Tito, Jones.. the list goes on.

He goes on to say that he’s jealous of MMA fans because they get to watch him and be entertained by him, and sometimes he wishes that he could exist outside of the octagon during one of his fights so that he’d have the pleasure of watching himself fight.
