The Nevada State Athletic Commission angered a lot of people when they suspended Nick Diaz for five years due to a drug test suspension. And when I say they angered a lot of people I really mean it. One of the wildest stories of 2015 was 100,000 angry citizens signing a petition to the White House, asking for the President of the United States, Barack Obama, to give 209’s best a mulligan.

Support poured out from all angles, from other fighters to pop goddesses, and it felt like Diaz maybe, just maybe, would end coming out of all this clean. Well, Obama has spoken and his answer isn’t what we were hoping for.
I know it’s old news, but how crazy is it that Cher helped push #FreeNickDiaz?
