The office that gave Jone Jones 5 traffic tickets that ranged from drag racing to speeding has been hit with a lawsuit.




Attorney Ed Chavez said his client, Gary Martinez, lost his job and license after his arrest and also spent two months in jail.

APD Officer Jason Brown spotted Martinez in his car, unconscious on the side of the road in 2015.

Officer Brown accused Martinez of drinking. He subsequently ran through the road side tests even though Martinez said he was epileptic and said he had a seizure.

Brown wasn’t convinced and arrested Martinez. Attorney Ed Chavez said this ordeal cost his client, Gary Martinez everything.

Jon Jones was very unhappy and disagreed with certain traffic tickets.

When back at the station, the police found nothing to indicate Martinez had been drinking. Martinez agreed to a breathalyser and the results came back negative.

Martinez also had a blood test which was for drugs too, this also came back negative.
