One of the hottest videos on the internet over the last few weeks has been that of now-former Uber driver Edward Caban. Caban, like so many drivers for the international taxi-on-demand service, was tasked with shuttling a drunken customer late one night from a bar to his home. While that would seem like a fairly straightforward job for a cabby, it turned out to be anything but…
Things go downhill from here in a very, very big way…
The customer was drunk. Not just giggling and a little pukey, either. Drunk to the point where he couldn’t give directions and couldn’t keep himself sitting up straight in the back of the car.
With the driver unable to ascertain where, in particular, he was supposed to be driving, he pulled over by a shopping center and told the passenger to get out of the vehicle. The passenger refused, prompting the driver to demand he do so, or else he would call the police.
Then, things got violent. Very violent, honestly. And it was all caught on the dash cam. If you’d like to see, just check it out after the jump.
