Dana White recently announced that the UFC is going to be absorbing Invicta’s women’s flyweight division, but we’ve got the inside scoop on an even more exciting announcement that will likely be made official sometime during the middle of this year. Our sources in the UFC head office have told us that they are in talks to introduce a women’s heavyweight division into the UFC as early as Summer of 2014.
Even though this is just a rumor, it’s important to remember that we’ve literally never been wrong about any of our MMA rumors yet, and we have good word that this one is absolutely true.
We’ll let you know as soon as we have the names of some of the women who are going to be duking it out in the 200+ pound weight class, but whispers have been going around that Miesha “Cupcake” Tate has been gorging on cupcakes to try to make weight, and sources have been seeing Roy Nelson shopping for dresses, so this should be interesting.
