The other day we posted an article revealing that Wanderlei Silva has yet to sign his contract to fight Sonnen, and nobody really knows why. Dana White is being coy about it, saying it has to do with the show and that’s all he’s going to say because it wont benefit anyone if he reveals it just yet.As we said earlier, there’s been a lot of speculation about this having to do with TRT, or with money, yet Dana insists it has nothing to do with money and it’s not what we think.
It’s been hard to get a statement from either camp, and the UFC brass is keeping hush about the whole situation. None the less, we’ve had a few hits on our anonymous MMA rumor tip line.
Here’s an email from someone called “andy@spidermail.com”.
“Is normal, I hespect the champ the Chris Weidman. I back.”
Uhh, okay. Not sure what that has to do with Wanderlei Silva and his contract with Sonnen, so let’s just speculate on what it could be.
- The recent TRT ban seems like the most likely thing.
- Maybe they’re having trouble finding a place to fight with lax testing?
- It could totally have to do with money, has Dana ever lied before?
- Could it have to do with Chael’s refusal to apologize to Brazil?
- Wanderlei Silva is afraid to fight Chael Sonnen?
- The Axe Murderer is holding out to fight Cyborg?
