In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Ronda Rousey reflected on her toughest fight, and revealed how far she’s willing to go to win.




We’ve seen countless fighters break inside the Octagon. They never say “I give up” and walk away, but they’ll go down from a punch that probably shouldn’t have knocked them down, they’ll give up their back easier than they should have, and they’ll start to tap long before they’re truly in danger. It’s almost an unwritten rule in MMA. Ronda Rousey says she would never, ever look for the easy way out because nobody is going to break her.

Ronda says her toughest fight was her first fight in the UFC, against Liz Carmouche: 

“I dislocated my jaw, broke my sinuses, was coughing. When her hand went across my jaw, my mouth was ripped open. That’s the only fight I got a bruise in.” – Ronda Rousey
