Bruce Lee is an icon of martial arts, he has inspired many, many people through his practice of these arts. From his early life in Hong Kong, to his new life in America, from his career in martial arts, to becoming a beloved actor on the big screen, it’s hard to measure the true infleuence of Bruce Lee. Despite only appearing in 4 movies before his death (1969’s Marlowe, 1972’s The Big Boss, 1972’s Fist of Fury, and 1972’s Way of the Dragon), he has had a massive infleuence on the genre. Enter the Dragon came out in 1973, after his passing.

A few years ago, a rare video of Bruce Lee sparring came out. Watching his expertly choreographed fights in his movies is always awesome, but seeing some of his techniques put to use in an unscripted combat situation is something else entirely.

This video goes on to highlight his incredible speed and ability to generate massive power with minimal energy spent. You’ll see him send a guy flying with a punch to the chest.

Jeet Kune Do might not get a lot of props among modern MMA fighters in the UFC, but the quickness and precision is incredible.
