It seems Pat “HD” Barry couldn’t wait until his Glory Kickboxing debut on May 3rd to get his legs back in action. This is a true story. We’ll let Pat tell, in his own words, what happened after he heard a strange noise coming from a hotel room down the hall from his own…
“Really, I thought it was a cat, but I kept hearing it. Opened the door and I could hear that it wasn’t a cat but a woman screaming ‘help.’ I found the door and right before I went through it, I heard her say she was trapped in the bathroom. When I realized she wasn’t being murdered, I decided this isn’t a major threat so I called management first. They couldn’t get past the metal latch so they looked at me and I looked at them and they just gave me ‘the nod.”
First of all, that’s awesome. But what happened next is kind of crazy…
After knocking down the second door, the lady ran to give Pat Barry a hug and to thank him but in doing so she accidentally grazed the top of her head against his chin, and he was knocked out cold for nearly a minute until hotel staff were able to revive the former UFC heavyweight by holding some fried chicken near his head.
