Jones vs Cormier Moved To Jan 3rd, BUT COWBOY CERRONE…

Articles

The stacked card at UFC 178 is looking a bit less stacked now that Jon Jones is out with an injury. It’s not a bruised ego, it’s a torn meniscus in his left knee and a sprained ankle that happened during wrestling practice on Monday.

Demetrious Johnson vs. Chris Cariaso is going to be the new headliner for UFC 178.

This is obviously very disappointing to fans, but nobody is more disappointed than Daniel Cormier, who had the following to say in an interview with MMAFighting.

I started to train very hard. It’s a little discouraging, but now I have time to get completely healthy. I don’t know how hurt Jon is but we have to remember that I took this fight with a pre-existing (knee) injury. I could have fought through it, I just wish he would have done the same.”

A post on Cowboy Cerrone’s Instagram from moments ago said “Maybe I should start training?????? UFC178???” Yes Cowboy, yes you should. There are rumors of a possible fight between Cerrone and Bellator’s Eddie Alvarez, which would be out of this world.
