After defeating Ronda Rousey, it seems like Holly Holm has absorbed her powers.
Holly won’t be making any ridiculous or outlandish claims or starting any wild beefs with celebrities to get attention, but she’s getting plenty of hype just by being her charming self. Holly also said that she’s willing and ready to fight Cyborg. We can officially take Dana White off of suicide watch because the 135lb division is safe. Fans are warming up to Holm and while Ronda had a lot of people pretty split down the middle, it seems like everyone loves them some Holly Holm.
Maxim is calling her the UFC’s most humble champion, going on to say that “After killing Ronda Rousey in the ring, she’s killing her with kindness.”
She’s been on all of the big shows, proving that a woman in the UFC can get press and attention without having to be brash and making enemies. It’s impossible to not be charmed by Holly Holm, she’s really comfortable in the spotlight but still has a really down-to-earth shyness about her.
It’s all about context, too. Ronda could come out and say that she wants to devour her next opponent’s entire family after skinning and cooking them inside of the Octagon and people would just kind of shrug because we’re used to it from her, but as soon as Holly talks even the slighting wink of trash, people are like “OHHHHHH SHIIII!!!”
Holm even defended Ronda’s erratic behavior at the weigh-ins and Ronda’s decision not to touch gloves, and she’s pals with Floyd Mayweather.
Meanwhile, Ronda has still been silent except for her initial statement.

Holly has been nothing but humble and respectful to Ronda in the weeks after their fight. People doubted her chances since she didn’t look incredible during her first two UFC fights, but it’s since been revealed that she was holding back during those fights in order to not show all of her cards.
