MMA is the hurt business. You hurt guys for money, and you get hurt in the process. Bones get broken, ligaments get torn and your brain slowly gets destroyed. More often than not, those effects are hidden from the public, but social media lets fans get an inside look at the proverbial sausage getting made in MMA.
Seriously. Sausage-making is gross.
The latest example of that comes from Bellator featherweight champion Daniel Straus. The champ had an absolute war with Patricio Freire back in November and is still recovering. Part of his recovery, though, is getting surgeries on his broken-ass hand.
In this world where there are no filters and everyone posts everything onto social media, he took it upon himself to post photos of the procedure onto social media. No surprise…they’re really nasty.
