Giant 320lb Strongest Man from Britain Boxes Against a 140lb Guy

Articles

Who doesn’t love seeing a freakshow fight when one guy is more than twice the size of the other guy?

People get annoyed sometimes, saying we’re picking on bodybuilders or powerlifters when we post these videos, but they’re the ones who are twice the size and thinking they have a shot in these fights so don’t put that on us!

These types of fights are always fun to see. You can hate on it all you want, but deep down, it reminds you of Pride and everyone loves Pride. It’s just classic David vs Goliath, it’s in our programming to want to see the little guy take on the giant.

It’s also in our nature to cheer for the underdog. In this case, the smaller guy has clearly done some boxing before and has a pro record and a belt to prove it, and the bigger guy is an amateur with a lot less experience. But when you’re talking about one guy who is twice as big, how much does it take to really tilt the skill vs size ladder?

When one guy is a pro boxer, and the other guy is a pro strongman, twice the size… Remember, there’s weight classes for a reason.

This sparring match probabally doesn’t end exactly how you’d expect, see for yourself:

Foot work and head movement are paramount. It doesn’t matter how big the guy is or how hard he hits, if he can never catch you and never land anything. It’s speed that makes the difference here, the bigger dude just looks kind of lost, he doesn’t know how to react, but he still manages to throw some bombs while getting picked apart by jabs.

If you had to step in there opposite one of these guys, who would you pick?

The big guy would still make easy work for the average person who doesn’t have any fighting experience, size and weight classes make a massive difference when the skill level is similar, but skill still tips the scales over size most of the time.
