Floyd Sent Spy Into Conor’s Training Camp But Conor Beat Him Up

Articles

One of the interested side stories in the lead up the the Floyd Mayweather / Conor McGregor fight is the fact that Conor’s team released photos of Conor knocking down former champ Paulie Malignaggi, which Paulie said were out of context and fake, and then Conor’s camp released VIDEO that showed Conor toying with him. Then, Paulie was escorted away from Conor a couple of days ago when he approached Conor in a crowd. His ego seemed very bruised, he is a former champ getting knocked around by a guy who has never boxed before, after all.

In what appears like a weak attempt to save face, Paulie has now moved over to Floyd’s training camp instead, where he’s acting buddy/buddy with Floyd and pretending that this was their plan all along, to infiltrate Conor’s camp.

If that’s true, then hopefully Conor’s team didn’t reveal too much strategy when Paulie was around, since he’s basically telling the world he’s a rat who can’t be trusted in the gym.

“Paulie, thank you for going over there, like I asked you to do,” said Floyd, right after saying that he’s going to be spending time going over a lot of strategy with Paulie, that Paulie managed to pick up while pretending to be a member of Conor’s camp.

You can say what you want, it’s a fight, it’s strategy, but infiltrating someone’s training session because their opponent TOLD YOU TO and then coming back and giving away secrets is not a very classy move. Paulie is basically in this video next to Floyd bragging about being a snitch. Congrats, Paulie, you tried to save face after getting dropped by a UFC fighter in a boxing match and now you’re just looking like a bigger goofball.

Floyd is even going along with Paulie’s fake story that Conor grabbed him and threw him to the ground, even when we’ve all seen video of Conor knocking him down with a punch.

“Paulie has always been my friend…listen, this is going to stay in Paulie’s family forever…don’t worry, Paulie…me and Paulie gonna stay at the house and talk about strategy…thank you for going over there like I asked you to do,” – Floyd
