Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr came out of retirement just to try to score his 50th victory over UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Conor McGregor. This fight that will take place next August 26th will probably be the event that will generate the most money in the history of contact sports.
Floyd recently gave an interview, where he said the fight with McGregor will be the last of his professional career (via BoxingNewsOnline):
Floyd Mayweather Jr: “I thought the weigh-in for (bout with) Andre Berto was going to be the last, the last training camp. I honestly thought that would be the last time of all that. ”
“But you never know what can happen. Now we are here to (perform) this great event. ”
“Ladies and gentlemen, this will be my last time. I gave my word to Al Haymon, gave my word to my children, and breaking (my word) is something I can not do. ”
I gave Haymon my word, I gave my word to my children. I must keep my word. This will be my last fight. “
