Dana White Offers Conor and Floyd Over 25m Each To Fight, Floyd Responds

Articles

Floyd Mayweather has recently offered Conor 10 million bucks for the fight, but it’s going to take more than that. Conor doesn’t get out of bed for that champ change, neither does Floyd.

Speaking of chump change, Dana White has offered both super stars 25 million each to fight, but it’s still not enough for Floyd.

Mayweather says his number is 100 million. If the UFC could actually book Floyd Mayweather for a fight against Conor McGregor, it should end up well worth the 100m, everyone from boxing fans, to MMA fans, to just regular everyday people who only casually follow sports, they’d all want to watch it. It would be, hands down, the biggest sporting event in combat sports history, maybe sports in general.

“We tried to make the Conor McGregor fight. They know what my number is… My number was a guaranteed $100 million, that was my number. We’re the ‘A’ side and I don’t really know how much money Conor McGregor has made. I’m pretty sure he hasn’t even made $10 million in a MMA bout.” – Floyd Mayweather

He’s certainly underestimating what a draw Conor is. Recently, Conor has sold more PPVs than the entire sport of boxing put together.

“I’ll tell you what Floyd, here’s a real offer and I’m the guy, I’m the guy that can actually make the offer and I’m actually making a real offer. We pay you $25 million, we’ll pay Conor $25 million and then we’ll talk about pay-per-view at a certain number. There’s a real offer,” White said.

The keyword there is the PPV numbers, neither fighter would be walking away with only 25m if they got a cut of the PPV. Let’s not kid ourselves, it would be bigger than Mayweather vs Pacquiao, and fortunes would be made.

We’re been laughing about the possibility of this fight happening for well over a year, but the more that Conor, Floyd and Dana play out these public negotiations, the more it seems like it could actually happen someday.
