Make sure you leave a comment with y our verdict on this one. Liveleak did a poll asking if the police officer was right or wrong, and people overwhelmingly agreed with the officer’s actions – but where do you stand, based on the small amount we can see in this video?
Police violence is a real problem all around the world, as in corruption, unnecessary aggression, shootings. It has been argued that if more police officers had martial arts training, that they would have more confidence to handle these types of scenarios in a more controlled manner. If the cop in this video could have slipped in a sneaky submission rather than a bodyslam, the criminal would probably have a few extra brain cells, which probabally wouldn’t help this guy in particular but would be useful in all of those other cases where the cops go too far.
