Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh is a genius when it comes to fighting, he’s one of the best coaches in the game and SBG in Ireland is quickly becoming one of the top gyms as they produce fighters like McGregor, Gunnar Nelson, Cathal Pendred, and Paddy Holohan. They’re not here to take part, they’re here to take over, remember? Kavanagh was Ireland’s first black belt in BJJ and their first MMA fighter to step into a cage.

On October 20th, Reebok announced that they had partnered up and are sponsoring SBG. This is big, because it sets a precedent for a new type of sponsorship in the “Reebok Era” of the UFC, gym sponsorships will put more money on the table for fighters and for their training facilities.

Everything was good and the gym members were celebrating, until the next day when Kavanagh noticed a Reebok Ireland shirt for sale on their site that rubbed him the wrong way. Like a true leader, he put his beliefs, convictions, and doing the right thing for his countrymen ahead of making a few extra dollars.

Here’s what John Kavanagh tweeted:

He’s saying that if Reebok doesn’t remove the offensive t-shirt from their site today, he’s going to send back their money and end their sponsorship of his gym.
