Conor McGregor Stole155lb Belt And Tried To Throw a Chair At Opponent

Articles

Conor showed up late to the press conference, then danced onto the stage and said he didn’t give a fook. It was everything you would expect from a McGregor press conference, and Eddit was definitely holding his own in the trash talk department.

Eddit was upset that Conor had brought up his wife and kids, so at this conference he dropped a bomb. Eddie Alvarez revealed that Conor McGregor is going to be a father to two kids very soon, and his girlfriend isn’t pregnant with twins. So, read between the lines, and Eddie is saying that Conor has two kids on the way from different ladies. It’s a funny line if it’s made up, but it’s a really low-blow if it’s true, especially coming from a guy who says you shouldn’t bring family into it.

In any case, Eddie walked off stage before Conor even arrived, and Conor used that as an opportunity to grab Eddie’s belt. When they were both on stage, Eddie tossed his chair a bit behind Conor after folding it up which sent Conor ballistic. Conor grabbed the chair and motioned like he was going to throw it at Eddie Alvarez.

A Canadian TV host named Michael Landsberg actually asked if the whole alternation was staged, and Dana White ignored him and didn’t answer.

Conor is looking to achieve his dreams of holding a belt in two weight classes, and Eddie is looking to make a statement on the biggest stage of his career, and to take home the biggest payday as well. Eddie has been fighting for a long time, paid his dues time and time again, been in wars, finally made his way over to the UFC, worked his way up to a title shot, destroyed the champ within a round, and now here he is. It’s been a long road, and he deserves a big one.

There are a lot of tough fights at 155lbs waiting in the wings for whoever should become champion. If Conor wins, the UFC says he’ll have to drop one of the belts, but he is insistent that he won’t and that he’s going to go after a 3rd belt next. He wants all the belts.
