It finally here the long-awaited fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. At yesterday’s weigh in Conor took a swipe at Floyd saying he looked full of water and in the worst shape he has ever been in. However, McGregor went further to say that “I am going to just float through him (Mayweather)”. Well the fight has not occurred yet and already Conor McGregor is declaring victory.
This may be a bit premature on the Irishman part as we all know that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not an easy push over in the field of boxing. From his last fight Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao if that is anything to go on McGregor should not take Mayweather Jr. for granted as this may prove to be his undoing.
Conor McGregor has done what Ronda Rousey did during this time of fame. This time what McGregor has done has surpassed Rousey even surpassed UFC and MMA and transcended into the boxing ring. Many has anticipated that this going to be a battle for McGregor as Mayweather Jr. is coming into the boxing ring as the favorite to win.
It rumored that McGregor wanted to fight Mayweather Jr. since 2014 after watching the rematch of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Marcos Maidana after the match Conor said “Someday, I’m going to fight that guy”
