Anderson Silva To Critics After Controversial Win: “I’m The Best In The World, Yes.”

Articles

Before Anderson Silva’s decision victory over Brunson, he seemed really chill and relaxed. He said that he just loves to fight, and it shows. It seemed like there was no pressing on him, he’s just going out there, doing what he loves, and cashing big cheques doing what he loves.

Some people believe the decision was controversial and that Brunson should have gotten the career-defining win over Anderson Silva. Let’s be real, even going the distance with Andy can raise your stock, despite hiccups in recent years. So what did Anderson have to say to the critics?

“I am the best in the world, yes.”

Brunson said that the judges were “in awe” of Silva, and that’s how he managed to squeeze out the decision.

What do you think of the result of this fight ?

A year or two ago it might have seemed crazy to imagine Anderson getting a title shot at this point, but all it takes is a few pieces to fall into place, like if Romero has to pull out against Bisping last minute, can’t you picture them booking the rematch?

It’s crazy to imagine that Anderson could actually have the belt again. Now, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, we’re not saying he could still clear the division, just that it wouldn’t be out of the question to see him getting a title shot the way things are going. They’re talking about a title shot for Holly Holm who has lost her last 3, so nothing’s impossible.

Would you ever want to see Anderson fight for a belt again, or do you think he should just stick to doing :fun: fights? Why don’t we finally make Anderson vs GSP happen?!

There’s a big difference between who gets a title shot and who deserves a title shot. There have been some questionable title shots in the past, and it’s only going to get worse. So, do you want to boycott the UFC? If not, we’re going to have to just accept it. This is the world we live in now. The points don’t matter, and EVERYONE gets a title shot except the top contenders.
