UFC 199 is right in front of us, and it’s shaping up to be an excellent card. It’s  the UFC’s last numbered event before the highly anticipated and even more controversial UFC 200, but don’t let 199 live in the shadow because with two title shot rematches and bitter rivalries, not to mention a lot of solid matchmaking work, it’s going to be a great night of combat.

Michael Bisping has been hanging out the middleweight division for what seems like forever, always very close but never quite at the title shot. He’s had a lot of close calls, but usually got stomped out by a known PED-user, so for him to finally earn the title shot is a career-defining moment. Ideally, he might have wanted a full training camp and more time to prepare for one of his toughest opponents to date, but his confidence is at an all time high coming off of a win over Anderson Silva.
