Royce Gracie Beats Ken Shamrock with Brutal Nutshot at Bellator 149

Gracie came off like an a-hole during the post-fight interview, and didn’t do many favors for himself at the post-fight press conference. He denied hitting Shamrock in the nuts despite the footage being shown at the event. Shamrock looked downright depressed and said he could’ve won if he just had the chance to adjust his jock strap.

When Gracie was asked about a rematch he avoided giving a real answer, but teased that he was done with Shamrock. If Gracie wasn’t such an icon, this fight would’ve definitely made him into a villain.

Of course, if the ratings were strong here, a rematch is indeed a possibility. Bellator 149 was huge on social media and if that translated into the viewership, a Shamrock vs. Gracie 4 would make business sense for Bellator.

Maybe I’m just doing mental gymnastics, though. It’s hard not to feel for Shamrock here. He clearly cared about winning here and to have it end like this…sad.
